In all our buses,
from of 2002 and onwards, every seat is
equipped with a safety belt.
The Westin Buss Company derives from Werner
Westin Omnibuss AB, founded in 1924 in
the community of Docksta, West Norrland.
During the first 65 years the company
was run locally in the northern part of
Sweden. In 1961, after the sudden death
of Werner Westin, his two sons, Alf and
Lennart, took over the company.
The shares in the company were sold in
1989 to Svenska American Motors Samservice.
Alf, however, remained and continued as
President and Head of the Group.
In 1993 Berggrens Buss and Enqvist Buss
AB were taken over, and Westin Buss Stockholm
was formed.
In 10 years, during the nineties, the
company developed from a total of 2 big
coaches to the number of 33 and from 7
small buses for disabled persons to 87
such buses.
Today – in the year of 2006 –
there is a number of 35 tourist buses
and 45 buses for disabled persons in our
fleet.
From the very beginning in Stockholm Westin
Buss has the same local manager, Kenneth
Johansson, who since January 1998 is the
Head of the Group.
The strong expansion of the company is
part of the whole business idea:
Never to give up nor to allow a standstill
of the development.
